Speaker Profile

Gautam Chikermane is a renowned journalist, and author, known for his insightful perspectives on economics, politics, and foreign affairs. With a career spanning over two decades, Mr. Chikermane has established himself as a prominent voice in the Indian intellectual landscape.
Mr. Chikermane has held leadership positions at some of India's top newspapers and magazines, including Hindustan Times, Indian Express and Financial Express. He serves as a director on the board of CARE India, was the new media director at Reliance Industries Ltd, and was vice-chairman on the board of Financial Planning Standards Board India. He is a Jefferson Fellow (Fall 2001) at the East-West Center, Honolulu, Hawaii, United States of America.

Currently, he serves as Vice President at the Observer Research Foundation (ORF) where he contributes significantly to shaping discourse on policy matters.Mr. Gautam has written eight thought-provoking novels that address various subjects, from political upheavals and economic reforms to Sri Aurobindo's philosophical ideas.
